Quicktime player audio recording error

Hi, I was recording my screen on my Macbook Pro with touchbar (2018) for about 1 hour, and when I checked the result, audio broke after 30 minutes. It's not a storage problem because there is over 100GB left. It's not my airpods problem because it worked fine for whole 1 hour.

Would there be any way to recover my audio? Thanks!

Hey there, and welcome to Apple Support Communities, rnalstmd!

We see that you're having some trouble with the audio from a screen recording. We'll be happy to see how we can help.

While there isn't a way to recover audio that is missing from a file, we may be able to help keep it from happening again. To get started, check out the information in How to record the screen on your Mac and see if it helps at all.

If the audio that didn't record was from an app you had open or opened during the process, it could have stopped the audio as some content will have copy protection enabled that will keep the content from being recorded.

What was the audio that is missing?

We look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers.
