30+Watt Charging Block

The Macbook Air 2020 M1 comes with a 30W charging block.

I was wondering if it was possible to buy the 61W or maybe an Anker charging block that does more than 30W to charge my laptop?

Would this damage the battery or the laptop in anyway?

Would this charge the laptop any faster too or is it a waste of money?

Thank You

It depends what sort of things you have connected to it.

If you don't connect anything to it he 61 watt will charge a

bit faster. If you are using several things plugged in, it definitely

will since they draw power from the Mini and with the larger

supply it gives a bit more margin to run the Mini, run the

peripherals, and charge.

I have a 61 watt with my 2020 M1 MacBook Air and I can verify it

does charge a bit fast, especially when there are components plugged in.

Also, do your self a favor and just spend the money on the Apple supply.

Their are lots of people that bought lower cost supplies and end up tossing

them in the trash because they just do not last.
