How do i reset my restrictions passcode on ipad mini 2?

You can’t reset it other than by erasing it and setting it up as new. You will have to restore to factory settings and start all over again. Restoring a backup will also restore the restrictions passcode.

This will erase the device. You can restore your device from a backup but the backup has to date from before you set the forgotten passcode or it too will be restored.
