Airpods pro keep disconnecting when accessing microphone

My AirPods pro keeps disconnecting whenever a certain app tries accessing AirPod's mic on iPhone 12, like when initiating a call or sending a voice message on iMessage. This happens only on my iPhone 12, not on my MacBook pro.

Any help would be appreciated.

AirPods pro keep disconnecting/reconnecting during phone calls only Doesn't happen if listening to music/watching video. Only happens during phone calls. I've tried staying far away from other devices so as to not have bluetooth interference. AirPods are fully charged. I've tried forgetting and then reconnecting the airpods to the phone (iphone 7plus) This only became an issue four days ago. Never had problems prior to that. Could it be some weird microphone issue? BTW I can use for Zoom meetings on my HP laptop - no connectivity probs there.

AirPods 1st Gen keeps disconnecting while talking Hi Guys, If anyone can help me to figure out, why my AirPods (1st Gen) disconnecting from my iPhone (8) while talking. make sure their isn’t any update available for your iPhone > https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/update-ios-iph3e504502/ios

if no update available let’s completely reset the AirPod pros following https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT209463
