Macbook Pro m1 not charging on one port

Macbook Pro M1, randomly one of the 2 usb-c ports won't charge. I can fix it by restarting the computer but this is a pain. Original charger and cable, it always charges one port so I think it is good. Seems to happen about once a week, both ports stop charging so it moves around.

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

The M1 has no SMC or NVRAM

the equivalent and the best you can do with the M1 is a SafeBoot https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262

Then reboot as normal to test.
