Split one Apple ID with two phone numbers / two email addresses into two Apple IDs?

My current Apple ID has been shared by my wife and I for the past 11 or 12 years, and has both of our phone numbers and email addresses associated with it. We would like to separate out my wife's email and phone number to a separate Apple ID. Is this possible? Is it easy to do?

I'm sure there's an answer somewhere, but when Googling for "separate apple ID", I never seem to quite find the right, appropriate answer.

If we just need to go to the Apple Store, that's great.

Hello slaggy,

We would like to see how we can help you with your Apple ID. While there is not a way to share or split an Apple ID between two accounts, she can create a new Apple ID and then log in to all of her devices with the new Apple ID. She will be asked for the original Apple ID password when updating any app that was downloaded under the orignal Apple ID, or she can delete those apps and download them under the new Apple ID. How to create an Apple ID

You can then go in and update your account information for the orignal Apple ID with these steps: Manage and use your Apple ID
