Constant watchdog kernel panics on Catalina 10.15.7

6 month old iMac no previous issues until last update now i get a Kernel panic on a consistent basis. seems like anything using video (photoshop, Games, final cut) may or may not trigger the kernel panic.

Whole system shuts down. I disconnected external monitors, rebooted in recovery and ran first aid (no issues) reset the Pram, disconnected all my devices. same thing. I use drop box and it seems like i keep getting dropbox crashes now too. This is so frustrating.

You cut off the panic report just when it was getting interesting. The kernel extensions list.

the first few entries, will be 3rd party kernel extensions, and have often been responsible for watchdog panics.

something kept the WindowServer from resetting the watchdog timer fo 2 minutes. What were you running that was that intensive that it stalled the scheduling of the WindowServer for that long?

do you have external devices attached?

have you considered upgrading to Big Sur?

Yes I have external hard drives connected. I just bought a USB 3 hub (my old one was a USB 2) I had an external monitor connected (old Imac 27" connected via thunderbolt) but the last crash was without the external monitor connected.

I have considered upgrading but I was concerned with compatibility with Adobe CC...

I use dropbox for work and have all my files syncing but it seems like that is a pretty standard item in my crashing Kernel Panic list.

This had happened multiple times in the last 2 weeks. This time it happened twice while playing World of Warcraft this time ( i was kinda expecting it due to the graphics). It happened 2x yesterday in photoshop and once in Final cut as well.

seems like any time the graphics processor is engaged for any length of time i get a crash. I have EtreCheck. i will post that in a separate post.

I was thinking about creating a second user account to see if that helps.

I removed many extensions including the google drive one and have been running my computer the last day so far without a crash... i haven't done the new user account yet. If i crash again i will post the apple report instead of the EtreCheck... I also turned off video enhancements in photoshop as well as the video game and it seems to have helped a little. Could it be a video driver and extension conflict with google? I will keep you posted. I thank you guys for the assistance. Its hard not to have TechnoRage when this stuff happens...
