Smart connector issues

Hi everyone, has anyone encountered this sort of “corrosion” on your iPad smart connector? I have been using it with My Magic keyboard and now it just refuses to work. Any solutions to this issue? I would appreciate any help or solutions to this issue. Thank you.

We recommend completing the steps here: If you can't connect your iPad to your Magic Keyboard, Smart Keyboard, or Smart Keyboard Folio

Before troubleshooting or service we'd also recommend you have a backup of your iPad: Back up iPad
