"Stopped filter failed" PDF only

None of the recommended fixes that I've tried work. Resetting the printing system DOES NOT work, so do not recommend that. I can print from every application (word, excel, power point, adobe illustrator, photoshop) but I cannot print a PDF. Doesn't matter if it's Acrobat Pro DC or just the Adobe Reader. Doesn't matter which printer I send it to. Have tried different drivers...no change.

Resetting the printing system also takes a great amount of time to re add the number of printers I have.

Does anyone have the actual fix?

Running 10.14.5 / 2018 Macbook Pro 15" 2.9 GHz i9, 32 gig...should not be having this issue.

Normally it's he Printer driver or corruption, start with this...

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes.

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...

Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.

Does it work in the new account?
