Password for MacBook Air

I do not remember my password for opening my MacBook Air. And I don't remember that I set up a Recovery Key for the MacBook Air is there anyway I can get it back. My other Apple devices are in my husbands name and the are fine I have the password for those. Please help

Start up from macOS Recovery

  • Intel processor: Turn on your Mac and immediately press and hold Command (⌘)-R until you see an Apple logo or other image.

Follow steps given in the section: Use the Reset Password assistant
