how do I revert to the previous version of a note? I did not resave it.

In Notes I converted text to table.

Because there is no readily apparent way in Notes to insert a 'tab' –to delimit text– everything was dumped into 1 column.

I did not resave the Note, or exit Notes.

When I attempted to REVERT the data to text, it CLEARED the data, but left the table.

I tried to find a way to go back, REVERT to the unformatted text version to no avail.

There does not seem to be any readily apparent 'Help' function within Notes. BAD move Apple.

Is this the Dark Side of a 'continuous saving' function in this non-intuitive app.

Bottom line: Have I now lost all my data because of this fluke and my faulty assumptions??

Welcome MCSkan23,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Based on your post, you've tried making some text to table changes in the Notes app. We'll do our best to assist.

There isn't a supported way to revert any notes within the Notes app. You can recover missing or deleted notes in the Recently Deleted folder, but that's about it.

If you were hoping for more capability, then we'd recommend to provide that feedback directly to Apple: Product Feedback

In case you were using iCloud Notes, then you'd want to Contact Apple Support

Wishing you the best, cheers!
