Blocked email senders NOT getting deleted as preferences specify

If Junk mail is not working for you as expected you can turn it off in Mail>Preferences.

You have the option of installing a third party spam filter. ex.

I agree, the blocking feature is not really a block. You can send feedback to Apple.

Then what is the purpose of this "blocking" that doesn't block? It's like "nyah, nyah.....you did that extra work and you can't stop me. haaa haaa."

Just what I need an extra reminder that the messages are spam.

According to the dictionary, blocked means to halt or cease or preent penetration. It does not offer a definition of reminding you that you received something you din't want.

I have the same problem. And I agree,. a clear answer should be provided. "Read these five highly technical documents" that probably do not address the issue is not helpful

I have the same issue. I believe they will always end up in the junk folder. I have tried a dozen different settings. I just have all junk deleted when I sign out of mail each day.
