iPhone is frozen on apple logo, nothing seems to be working.
I have an iPhone 8 that was working fine yesterday night. However, this morning when I used my phone, it was acting a bit strange. When I would try to view texts or emails, it would be blank and wouldn't load. It was almost acting as if I didn't have internet. So I went to settings and turned on Airplane mode, and the switch flipped but it wouldn't actually work, and it still was saying I had internet. Odd behavior from my phone, so I decided to restart it. When I tried to power it back on, it was stuck on the apple logo for about 5 minutes, and then would turn off for a minute. Then would go back to the apple logo for 5 min, etc. It's been stuck in this loop for 4 hours now.
I've been able to get it into recovery mode (volume + power button) and was able to plug it into my PC and get into iTunes. It said that there was something wrong with my iPhone and I needed to update or restore to factory settings. Now here's the thing, I have not bought iCloud storage. Only the amount that came with the phone. If I restore to factory, I think I will lose a good chunk of data that is important to me, such as photo's. So I did the update, and it would say it was downloading software, but nothing happens for a good 20 min, and then it exits recovery mode, disconnects from iTunes, and goes back into the Apple logo loop. What can be done? Should I use a 3rd party app, such as "iOS Data Recovery" to back up my phone? If I take it into Apple support, will the be able to do anything to help me, or is it going to be everything I've already tried?
