New Macbook Air - Lightroom won't open

I just bought a new Macbook Air M1 and the software is up to date with Big Sur 11.4. When I click on Adobe Lightroom, it flashes on the screen then disappears. It does not allow me to open any windows or files. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and the same thing continues. I have also deactivated the app from the old computer via my Adobe account. How do I fix this?
