I have a gate at the side of my house and was hoping to find a HomeKit compatible gate lock?

Contact a reputable gate company in your area, they are available but you may have to go solar powered with battery depending on the gate. Availability right now could be a problem due to chip shortages.
If this is a small gate and you don’t have a motor or gate actuator to deal with then any of the HomeKit compatible locks would work if you equip it and install the gate as a door. I am not aware of any of the door locks though that are even water resistant and have never seen on that raises and lowers a typical gate latch. There aren’t even that many HomeKit door locks available so you might start there and ask if those companies are aware of anything.

This will be a self-install. I have kitted out the entire house with homekit lights and the sliding gate too.
so I’m looking for a dead-bolt or some outdoor lock mechanism which I can use on the side entrance to the rear garden.
some companies such as Yale have front door locks, but I need a waterproof outdoor one, preferably running on battery (or solar)
