Corrupt email?

Lately “some” of my incoming emails on my iPhone are coming to my inbox normal, then, anywhere from a few hours to a week later they end up in what looks like Chinese or some other foreign language. No particular sender and this does not happen on iPad or MacBook.

i have checked what settings I can think of but have come up with nothing.
