I purchased a lifetime subscription from the app Calm; if I cancel the Apple subscription, can I still get the Calm app on my iPhone?

The app itself is free and can be downloaded by anybody with supported equipment. I don't know how the subscriptions work other than there are various subscriptions available through Apple, as listed in the link below. If you have one of those and cancel it then you will lose any service the subscription covers.
