NVRAM and SMC restarts not working on Macbook Pro
I have a 2019 MacBook with Touch Bar. I went away from my laptop for a few hours and accidentally left the screen open. I tried to wake it from sleep mode but it would just not wake. At first the screen was black but I was able to see the escape key on the touch pad but no matter what I did I could not get the screen to turn on. At some points the Apple logo would flash for just a second and then turn off again. So, I tried doing a NVRAM restart. At first this was hopeful. The keyboard would light up but the screen would not turn on. I tried the same thing with an SMC restart and the same issue persisted. The keyboard will light up but not the screen or Touch Bar. I would normally think that I would just need to turn up the brightness but like I said the Touch Bar is black and not even the escape key is visble. Also like I said, I am not able to turn on or wake the screen so I can’t do any restarts that require access to the desk top. I have been troubleshooting for 3+ hours and have tried pretty much every option I can think of. I am beyond frustrated. Please help!!
