stuck on apple logo without progress bar

My iPhone 7 plus is stuck in a boot loop WITHOUT a progress bar. when I put into recovery mode and connected it to my mac it recognized the device and began the update/recovery, I then saw my device go into recovery WITH a progress bar, about 10 minutes later it appeared to be complete and it said the device would restart and when the process was finished I would see my iPhone in the side bar. It never showed up in the sidebar and during the restart, my phone went back into the boot loop. When I clicked the finder to see if I could locate my device there, it was not listed there either. Not sure what happened or what to do from here?
