Disable standby/screensaver on Apple Watch

Is there a way to stop the Apple Watch from switching to standby/screensaver mode while running an active app?

I.e. I'm using a golf GPS app, and every time I turn my wrist, the app gets blurred out and the time shows on the watch face, like so:

Is there a way to disable this?

Option to lock apple watch screen in workouts, now its gone ? why did apple remove the option to lock the screen in workouts ? Every time i do strength or crossfit training the buttons press from my wrist moving and then it stops the workout or pauses it or Siri comes up. Please bring it back. Its super annoying that the buttons are pressed, when you move your wrists for a push up and it presses the buttons.

Not sure how this would help, when I need my golf GPS or running app open to look at while playing/working out...?
