Delete find my iPhone app on iPad OS 14.5

Is there a way to delete this app? I don’t want to be tracked from my other devices (which can be used by colleagues) but still have the ability to track my iPhone from a web browser.

All I want is to disable this app on my iPad, not only disable track of my ipad.

Hi,

I am not trying to prevent tracking the iPad. What I need is not being able to track my other devices from the iPad.

I am not the only user of the iPad and I don’t want other users from tracking my other devices. Since there is no user session or something like this on iPad, I should be able to disconnect this app from my iCloud account at least.

Ok thanks, I’ll disconnect it then. Not very in line with apple’s privacy orientation though…

Nobody can track you unless you are sharing an AppleID - or you have explicitly enabled location sharing with another Apple user.

Outside of Educational environments, iPad and iPhone are intended to be single-user devices.

You should each have your own AppleID account - as using a shared AppleID has implications for privacy and unintentional data sharing. If you are sharing a common AppleID for iCloud, you’ll encounter all kinds of issues with unintentional and/or unwanted sharing of sensitive/private information (including Messages).

The Golden Rule: Don’t share an AppleID between users. Each user should have their own AppleID for their own exclusive use - linked to their own primary email (and secondary/recovery email addresses and trusted telephone numbers).
