Deleting photos on MacBook pro

In Photos on MacBook Pro, High Sierra 10.13, there is no option to delete. How do I delete photos and videos? I know I used to be able to delete, but now I can’t.

You are looking in an album.

From an album if you want to actually delete the image from the library, you have to hold down the CMD key. This changes the menu "Remove from album" to Delete. (you can also use CMD with the delete key)

Or you can go to the all photos/library view and delete from there.

This is because deleting an image will remove it from the library, and all other albums. The CMD process is intended to prevent you deleting an image everywhere by mistake.
