How to delete Google Drive folder without losing sync feature on MacBook?

I have synced some folders on my Mac with (online) Google drive, but I see there is folder named Google Drive is on my Mac which I suppose is using the memory of Mac, I mean that it is not an online drive, right?

If it is using storage of my Mac, I would like to delete this folder but I want to continue with syncing, like before, some some of my folders on my Mac. Please help me in this.

Here's the image where you can see that Google Drive folder.

Thanks

Hello richie_sharma,

Thank you for posting in Apple Support communities. We understand that you are wanting to remove the Google Drive folder from finder. We would love to help you with this.

If you are storing documents on google drive your Mac creates a folder to allow you to drag and drop documents and other files to Google Drive. If Google allows you to access this information online then you can delete the folder in finder by right clicking it and selecting the "remove" option.
