I'm getting prohibitory sign after installing Catalina on MacBook Pro. I have tried using command + R to get to recovery mode and reinstall it again but I keep on getting prohibitory sign anytime I restart it. Please help me!

Are you using a wired keyboard for this or a bluetooth keyboard?
If possible, use a wired keyboard. Borrow one if you have to.
When you restart the Mac, don't press the keys until you hear the chime, then immediately press and hold them until you see the Apple logo and progress bar.
