How to get Siri to lock the screen?

I see that ‘Lock Screen’ phrase is activated under Voice Control. However, when I ask Siri to ‘Lock Screen’ it says it is beyond its abilities at the moment.

How do I get it to work?

iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 14

Hello Leanne,

Thanks for following up.

However, I discovered that my concern stemmed out of a misunderstanding. I was actually trying to use the ‘Lock Screen’ phrase via Siri whereas it was supposed to be used without Siri when Voice Control is On.

It works effortlessly and there are no issues right now.

Hi there arsalan197,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

We understand that you have Voice Control enabled but are unable to lock your device when saying “Lock Screen.” We’d like to help.

Is your device updated to the latest version of iOS? If not, back up and Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

Does Siri respond to other commands?

We would suggest turning off Voice Control, restarting your device, and then to set up Voice Control again. Here’s how to Use Voice Control on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

Take care.
