Traveling with my iMac
Im moving away to a different country and I need to bring my iMac with me. Is it possible to travel with an iMac on a plane as either a carry-on or in checked baggage? Or would it be best to ship it to the final destination?

imho... carrying on an iMac would be difficult. It won't fit in a bin or under the seat. And to pack one for checked baggage I would only give odds at 50/50 that it doesn't get damaged or lost.
I agree with @Paul Conaway... ship it.
Franzine, personally I would ship it. Also make sure you have a backup of the disk drive before you ship it in case something happens in-route.
I hope this helps.
Paul
I agree that shipping is the best option. At least you can insure it.
+1 on the "ship it" bandwagon.
You can certainly carry it on if it will fit. You can of course check it, but you might want to use a non-descript box. Actually it is safer to fly with an iMac than a laptop, because there is no battery.
