How do I trade in my old iPad

If you told Apple during the purchase process that you were trading in an old iPad, they should either have accepted the old one at the time (if you bought in an Apple Store) or sent you a box in which to send the old one back to you.

If you didn't buy direct from Apple, or if you didn't set up the trade-in as part of the purchase, Apple will still take the the old one. Start here: Apple Trade In - Apple and skip down to "Trade in and get Apple Gift Card credit — even without a purchase."

Keep in mind MichelPM's advice about how little value you may get for a very old device.

If your iPad is too old, like 8-11 years old, it may NOT be worth anything in trade or sell-able.
