iPhone 8 Plus screen replacement

I have an IPhone 8 Plus with a badly cracked screen. It’s been off for over a year. Do you think it’s possible that if i get the screen fixed will it still be useable and will function as it was?

I had it in a case with a protector but it cracked about two months after I bought it. I’ve lived with it but then broke down and paid some ship in the mall to replace it. Iphone 12 screen replacement Hi! I need to get a cracked screen repaired on an iPhone 12. Every authorized service provider that I’ve called in a 100mi radius does not have the replacement screen in stock. Is this normal? I really don’t want to send my phone through the mail, but I don’t know of other options. TIA.
