Auto-Updated to iOS 14.6 on iPhone 11, WiFi is now Disabled.

I have recently upgraded to iOS 14.6 update. Now my iPhone's Wifi is disabled and I cannot turn it on.

I have :

  1. Turned on and off airplane mode
  2. Reset network settings,
  3. Reset all settings
  4. Backed up and restored on the same device.
  5. Backed up and restored on a device that Wifi is proven to work, On once restored Wifi is disabled on the new device too, Then erased the new device Wifi is working to setup the device.

I am running no management software or VPN on my device.

I am at a loss as this is a software issue and not hardware and I need Wifi to perform upgrades and backups of the device.

Hello wvWebGuy,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. We understand you are experiencing some issues with Wi-Fi on your iPhone. We are happy to help provide some guidance.

It sounds like you've done some great troubleshooting steps so far to isolate and narrow down where the issue is happening. As a next step, try going into Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will erase all the network settings on the device and reinitiate them. If the issue continues after doing those steps, we would recommend reaching out to Apple Support directly using this link: Get Support

We hope this information helps.

Best Regards.

As a long time Apple user who carries multiple devices, I am more than annoyed at this and at the level of support. As you can see #2 in my list was exactly what you recommended.

I did reach out to support and Apple remoted diagnostics says it a hardware issue. So I did a backup and icloud restore to a new device that I know works on wifi and same issue once the restore completes no more Wi-Fi. Then I erase it again and setup the device was new and poof Wi-Fi works. So it is not hardware issue, just wish they would say yep out bad it is an issue. Now the most annoy part is I have to start over my iPhone from scratch because my iCloud restore on my device will not complete because I need WIFI for it to finish, update or anything. .
