Apple Books Not Working on iPad Air

I can no longer read books purchased from the Apple Bookstore on my iPad Air - after downloading, it says "Cannot Open XXX. It is formatted incorrectly, or is not a format that Apple Books can open."

I have tried uninstalling/re-installing Books, logged in and out with my Apple ID - not sure what else to do?

iBooks don’t open books on ipad I can’t open my books or download/buy new ones on iPad mini4 with iOS 13.1.3 I tap on a book and nothing happens and the application freeze. On my iphone the iBooks works well. I tried hard reset, delete the app and download again, sign out - sign in my apple id from icloud, updated the software on my ipad, turn wifi off and on. Do you have any advice what can I do to reach my bought books?
