My iMac's widgets doesn't work

when I try to add widgets to the Notification Center all the widgets options look the same, they all just completely white squares without anything else, and it's like that at all widgets of all applications.

iMac 21.5″, macOS 11.4

notifications sidebar of right of iMac screen? how do you make the notifications sidebar always stay open on an iMac screen?
