print to pdf

In Windows 10, there is the “Microsoft Print to PDF” and I will just choose “Microsoft Print to PDF” and it will generate a PDF file for me. What about on the iMac? How can I readily “print” to PDF as if it is a printer choice?

iMac 24″, macOS 11.4

Hello, nmuwq.

As @Gary Scotland posted, there is a direct to .pdf function in macOS that will drop the file onto the desktop (or wherever else you define.

Start by clicking File > Print...

Follow that up by clicking the PDF dropdown in the lower left and clicking "Save as PDF".

This is all independent of whatever printer you use.

How does it not solve your issue? You were given instructions on how to print to a pdf on a Mac. Is that not what you wanted to do? If not, please provide more details about what you're trying to accomplish.

Please note, the fact that something may not work exactly the same way on Windows on a Mac doesn't mean you can't end up with the same results.
