You can recover files you deleted from iCloud Drive or iWork apps within the last 30 days, whether you deleted them on iCloud.com or on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or Windows computer.

Same thing has happened to me, I wonder if it's a network thing. I log into icloud on an old computer and files are there, but not on other machines.
