How can I recover files lost in the icloud?

I had files that I could not recover hat are no longer showing in in the iCloud Drive (like time machine)

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.5

You may need to restore from your Time Machine backup. If the files are not found in iCloud, they do not exist.
