M1 iPad audio problem

So I recently bought an M1 iPad Pro (5th Generation) for editing my videos on iMovies. I transfer videos from my PC using google drive and download the files through a browser. I use OBS studio for recording and live streaming to Twitch. Before this iPad I had 3rd Gen iPad Pro. I would always download the videos from google drive to edit and have never had audio problems with it. However recently with my new one I downloaded the video and while the quality was fine, the audio sounded extremely crackly and popping, I downloaded the same video on my older iPad and don’t have the issue there, the audio waveforms in iMovies are exactly the same but the audio only crackles on the M1 iPad and not my old one. Please help me solve this issue.

I am a professional DJ, and I loved the storage possibilities with the new ipad. I purchased the 1 TB. I’ve already returned that one because the audio streaming cracks and chugs in three different apps. I downloaded the newest version of the apps and it improved it a little bit. I don’t think the apps for audio are quite compatible with the new technology in the iPad, or else there is a bug inherent in all the devices because I had the same problem with the second iPad I purchased. It is useless to me if I can’t Play audio from my own personal library, not talking about streaming, actual audio on the hard drive.. What you are experiencing may be related to the same problem I am having. The technician at the Apple store said they had heard of this yet but here we are experiencing similar problems. I wonder if there is a fix other than returning the item until the technology of the app developers improves. footnote is that I have another iPad device that I as well have absolutely no problems with using the same abs and the same music so I know it’s got to be the new iPad with the M1 chip. very disappointing because I loved having this as an option to a second computer laptop.

Thank you for your feedback!

Yea you are right it might just be the M1 chip. The only solution I’ve found is to put the video through another editing software on my computer, render through said video and then upload that file to google drive. It’s not the most practical way since the videos I edit are like 2.5-3.5 hours long and rendering them at 1080p60fps takes even longer but I really don’t want to return my iPad so at the moment this is the solution working for me.
