A newer version of iOS as a backup

My older phone was running a beta profile and ios 14.7, I recently bought an iPhone 12 that is currently on iOS 14.6. The backup of my older phone is on iOS 14.6, does it means that I won’t be able to use my new phone using my backup?

Yes, until 14.7 comes out or you install the beta on it.
