How does one remove a CD from the Mac Mini (2005 model) front loader optical drive without being able to access to OS?

iMac has cd stuck in it I can't get a cd out of the slot of my iMac 10.10. It is the installer disk 2. I want to donate this item, and the opening welcome page comes up first which is perfect. Wiping an Old MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010) The startup and accompanying discs are long gone from my mother-in-law's old Macbook ... I'd like to wipe it and return it to factory settings. Can I download an old system from Apple? It's currently running 10.6.3. Thanks!
