Forgot passcode, disabled phone twice for an hour, does not connect to Itunes, need to reset

I am trying to open my iphone 7, I was setting up. I put "what I thought was the correct passcode in" what I wrote down, and it kept stating it was wrong. I have disabled it enough times that I am now at the 2nd time for the 1 hour its disabled. I tried connecting it to my computer and itunes, but I won't let me since it is not on the home screen. How can I reset my phone to get a new passcode set?

You will need to restore the phone using a computer. The process will erase the device. Later you can restore your data from a recent back-up. Instructions here…

If you forgot the passcode on your iPhone, or your iPhone is disabled - Apple Support

In case iTunes needs an upgrade...

Update to the latest version of iTunes - Apple Support
