I am trying to recover a password for my icloud ID.

The it prompts me to send a recovery email to the secondary email set up with the account. When I click send, it simply tells me that the recovery email was sent to the icloud email. Any advice on this? This is the most dumb thing I have encountered as this defies any logic.

If you do not have access to the recovery email you should still be able to recover the password with answering security questions.


If you can't do either you might not be able to reset the password at all.

If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support


If you are unable to reset the password you may want to:

Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support


To see if there are any other ways you might be able to reset it.
