Downloaded Fitness+ Workouts will not play

A number of Fitness+ Workouts will not play. The workouts of concern are marked Downloaded, but when you tap “Let’s go”. Another screen opens stating that the video cannot be played (see screenshots below). Interestingly, new workouts download and play without issue. Any idea how to keep the videos playable until they are deleted from the iPhone?

Hey Iceman1965,

It appears that some older downloaded Fitness+ workouts aren't playing on your iPhone, as it shows the Cannot Play Video error instead. What happens if you remove a workout that won't play and download it again? If you haven't already, you can see if restarting your iPhone 7 might help: Restart your iPhone It may seem like a simple step, but it can sometimes help resolve issues.

Also, you'll want to make sure your iPhone 7 is fully updated to see if that might help as well: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch If there is an available update, you'll want to make sure that you back up your iPhone first: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Best wishes.

Dear clair504,

Thank you for your very thorough reply.

As suggested I removed workouts that wouldn’t play a downloaded them again. They will in fact play if they are re-downloaded. I just hope that this isn’t the way in which we must carry on.

The iPhone has been restarted on a number of occasions since this issue manifested, and the phone is running the latest iOS 14.6 and has been updated at least once other time since the issue first reared it’s ugly head.

Thank you for taking the time to help me with this issue.
