I have a default card in my wallet but it will not show up when sending money using Apple Pay in messages. I have $0 Apple Pay Cash balance. Usually it would use my card as a default. Now it just show a message saying I don’t have sufficient Apple Pay Cash balance and need to add a card.
I have deleted the credit card and added it again multiple times and still no change. It doesn’t show up as an option.

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We see that you are having some trouble sending money using Apple Pay in Messages. We will be glad to assist. Sending cash using Apple Pay requires a debit card. Please see the following: Send and receive money with Apple Pay
