iPad Pro Safari favorite icons

I’m using an iPad Pro, some of my favorite icons in Safari are just a tile with a letter, while others match the theme of the website. How do I replace the plain tile with the more colorful tile to match the website? Thanks!

iOS Home Page icon Placement When I try to place Home Screen icons on my iOS devices the screen goes nuts and moves all of the icons in a way that makes it impossible to place things where I want them to be. Icons swirl around and end up in nonsense places or pop to the next screen so I have to chase after them and bring them back to the screen I was working on. Is there a method to move ONLY the icon that I want to move without the wacky screen dance happening every time? Thanks, Pete D.

Removing Safari link icons from Home Screen I have iOS15.4 Safari allows the iPad to add links to the home screen, but it does not allow them to be removed. The minus (-) symbol does not appear when I hold down the icon to remove it like other apps. I followed the recommendations to Settings -> Screen Time -> Content & Privacy -> iTunes & App Store Purchases -> Deleting Apps. It must be on Allow. It will still not allow the icon to be removed from the iPad. How do I remove the icon from the Home Screen?

This usually happens when Website data is cleared.

Try visiting those sites again.

Restart your iPad.

Try visiting those sites showing generic letters.

Barring any issue with Safari, those favicons will be re downloaded.

Thank you….I went to settings/safari/clear history and website data and they are still just a tile with a letter in it.
