Export VS export unmodified original

Hello everyone! :) I want to ask a quick question regarding the best quality that I can get by exporting photos!

Im exporting on my Mac via Photos app with unmodified original process! Do I get the best quality results possible for my photos?

Thanks in advance

You read correctly. Unmodified original is exactly that, and is exported without any re-compression, and so is the best quality you can get. You can consider these files your digital negative if you like. If you've not done any editing then definitely use this export.

But as OT says, edited versions exported with full resolution and maximum quality will be almost impossible to distinguish from the originals.

Thanks a lot for your quick reply! I want to tell you that I don’t edit or something! I just want to take photos my moments and to have the exported in one big USB drive for future memories!

I’m only searching for the best quality of photos for this aim! I read in many forums that the “unmodified original exporting” is the direct copy of the original photo, my iPhone took!
