How to get iTunes 12 .11 to recognize and backup my iphone7? Am using Windows 10.

Cannot backup my iPhone to Windows 7 PC.Already have latest iTunes. When attempting to backup my iPhone to my Windows 7 PC, it says I need the latest version of iTunes. I already have what says it is the latest version of iTunes when I try to get the latest version. I have 12.10.11.2.
