iPad Pro 12.9” 4th generation with 5th generation Magic Keyboard
Has anyone had any issues using the new keyboard on the older iPad? My trackpad isn’t working out of the box.

The Magic Keyboard for the 2018/2020 models of iPad Pro are identical to the newest 2021 version in all respects except the physical dimensions. The latest version fully accommodates the slightly thicker 2021 iPad Pro 12.9”; electrically, they are identical.
You would be best advised to seek assistance directly from Apple Support - or the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store, where the technicians will be able to test and assess your new keyboard for faults.
