I have an iPhone 11. When trying to download an app, the side bar is not working when double tapped

AppStore won’t download apps. I’ve just purchased a new iPhone 11 Pro Max. Seems a great phone but I am having trouble getting AppStore to download apps. Once I click on the download icon, I get the spinning circle but that’s as far as it goes. No loading icon on main screen etc. I’ve tried the usual, logging in and out, switching on and off, and ensuring all details entered including payment etc but no joy. Any idea? Thanks Gregor

downloading apps I just got a iPhone 11 and when ever I try and download an app it just stays loading and never finishes

Cannot download apps, never prompts for double tap on side button I have a new iPhone 11. I cannot download apps in the app store. It never prompts me to double tap the side button. The download circle just keeps spinning.

You need to double tap the side button.
