Why did my old phone backup got affected with new phone

i got a new phone and transfered the data from old to new. Then i started deleting some of the transfered pictures at the new phone permanent delete. Why whyyy on earth does this effect my old phone!! Why would icould removes my data fron old phone!!! I lost my 6 years data and i need help.. the icould backup doesn’t show or get previous backup..
