deleting old backup

i recently got a new iphone and transferred all the data from my old one, then erased everything from it and i don’t have access to it anymore. what happens if i delete its backup from my icloud? will it affect my current phone in any way, like any apps’ data and that sort of stuff?

Deleting an iCloud Backup of one device will not affect other devices. To delete a backup, see instructions in Manage your iCloud storage - Apple Support
