What macOS you are currently running...

You can try a Try a SafeBoot https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262 to clear cache files—then reboot as normal.

Uninstall all third party apps that are Cleaners/Optimizers/Anti-Virus/VPN

if safe boot does not help

shut down, disconnect all external devices

reset the SMC again

then reset the PRAM/NVRM using the procedure in the same article. repeat the PRAM/NVRAM step three times.

reboot normally.
