Swiftkey keeps running in background....

Swiftkey keyboard keeps running in background (shown on settings ---> battery) even after background refresh is turned off. How can this happen?

iPhone 12 Pro Max, iOS 14

Let me rephrase... There isn't any problems with the keyboard. It functions as intended. The problem is with the background refresh of the keyboard app. I have background refresh disabled, yet the keyboard continues to refresh in the background. The battery settings shows the app consuming power in the background, even when background refresh is disabled for the app.

Delete and add the keyboard that you have on your device. That is the only thing i can think of based on the input given by you.

Keep an eye on the predictive text and another eye on the keyboard QuickPath (Swift Key) movement trail. Swift Key is called Quick Path in iPhone and iPad devices.
